A very cute little fish head! He's as small as a sardine, but look at those big eyes!
A big ammonite!
Although these ammonites (mollusks) look a lot like modern nautiloids (like this one from the New England Aquarium), they are actually more closely related to a modern octopus.
And check out this enormous crinoid stem!
Sadly we couldn't find the calyx (the "flower" part of the animal). Below is a photo of a modern crinoid or "sea lily", although they look like plants they are actually animals related to sea urchins, starfish, and sand dollars! The "flower" is actually arms that they use to grab passing food and eat it!
